This is a link to a video clip with music by the former "Cat Stevens", (he took an Islamic name), showing life in every day Tehran. What we see is a modern city, with mountain backdrops similar to the mountain backdrops of pictures of Denver Colorado. We see normal life there that doesn't look much different from ours except the women have scarves on their heads.

 

I think Americans see Middle East Nations as very backwards, and do not see the people as they really are at all. We don't get it here, for the most part that they are like us, and this little video demonstrates they are. Our methods for those that disagree are to bomb them back to the stone age. For those on dial up this is a short video and I think worth the wait, about 15 minutes for me.

 

PS: I think I remember that Cat Stevens under his Islamic Name was prevented from returning to the US of A sometime after I made the above post.  I don't fully remember the story.
