Bill Gates, others pledge $630 million to beat polio
Ron: In this article Bill Gates is quoted as saying: ‘We are in the end game … I'm optimistic that we will be successful. I'm personally very committed.'
The real question is ‘What is Gates talking about?’ What “end game” does he actually have in mind?’ Given that Gates also said that more children were infected with polio in 2008 than in 2007 despite a prior global investment of US$6 BILLION for the polio-fighting initiative one has to wonder just what purpose spending another US$630 million on vaccines is supposed to serve? Arguably spending US$6.63 billion on, say, genuine food and water security and sewerage infrastructure for Third World nations in Africa and other so-called underdeveloped counties around the world would better stabilise and improve the health and welfare of immensely more people in those places than spending that money on what amounts to aid to Big Pharma and Western oriented allopathic health professions. After all somewhere in the world about 30,000 to 40,000 people (mostly children) are said to die every day from diseases caused by malnutrition, dirty water and lack of sewerage facilities. An infinitesimal number of those deaths are from polio. Surely it is time for this bullshit to stop – even assuming that the vaccines in question do not actually harm or compromise the health of any recipients, which is an unlikely proposition. If Gates et al are serious about solving the world’s health problems they would be using their obscene wealth to improve organic local food production, clean local water supplies and local employment opportunities in poor countries.
Notice also that the laudatory article about the generosity of the Gates’ includes other gratuitous fascist propaganda notably:
‘Nigeria, which has struggled to contain polio since some northern states imposed a yearlong vaccine ban in mid-2003, accounts for more than 50 percent of new cases'.
So then, this Reuters news article wants us to believe that because some northern states in Nigeria ‘imposed a yearlong vaccine ban in mid-2003’ [sic] more children were infected with polio in 2008 than in 2007'. Spare me! How stupid do the Zionist news controllers think we are?!
And this famous global news service then tells us:
‘Also, in September, a suicide bomber in Afghanistan attacked a marked U.N. vehicle, killing two Afghan doctors working on polio vaccination for the WHO.’
What possible relevance has that incident – EVEN IF TRUE – got to do with the subject under discussion? Is it suggested that the US$6 billion dollars allegedly spent on polio vaccines and polio eradication to date has failed to reduce the incidence of polio globally because some perfidious “terrorist” suicide bomber in Afghanistan attacked a UN vehicle and killed two doctors working on polio vaccinations? Why must we endlessly endure this horse shit from so-called journalists and fascist (Zionist) controlled global news services? I think I probably speak for all alert and thinking HUmanity when I say: GESARA NOW!
To top it off the article concludes: "We are very close to eradication," said Adolf Kloke-Lesch of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Notice that this quote does not specify WHAT is close to eradication. How these Illuminati puppets must laugh at the “insider” meaning hidden in plain view in their remarks broadcast to the world by their tame mass media outlets!
Anyway, here is the article.
Bill Gates, others pledge $630 million to beat polio
By Will Dunham
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An infusion of more than $630 million spearheaded by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is intended to help finish the job of eradicating the crippling disease polio, officials said on Wednesday.
The Seattle-based Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Rotary International charity joined with the governments of Britain and Germany to commit the money over the next five years to support child immunization.
An international effort has cut polio cases by 99 percent in 10 years -- a drop from more than 350,000 cases in 1998 to about 1,600 in 2008.
The polio virus remains endemic in only Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Pakistan, but imported cases from these four countries threaten other developing nations.
In a conference call with reporters, Gates declined to set a target date to achieve the goal of polio eradication "because nobody knows what it will take."
"We are in the end game," Gates said. "I'm optimistic that we will be successful. I'm personally very committed."
The Gates Foundation, created by the wealthy U.S. businessman and his wife, pledged $255 million and Rotary International $100 million. Britain will provide about $150 million and Germany about $130 million, the foundation said.
The money will support a global initiative led by the U.N. World Health Organization and other partners.
Global health leaders are hoping to make polio the next disease to be eliminated worldwide, much as smallpox was declared eradicated three decades ago.
'VERY CLOSE TO ERADICATION' [tell that to the people of Gaza!]
Polio is a virus that attacks the nervous system and can cause paralysis, difficulty breathing and sometimes death. It affects mainly children under the age of 5.
Mass immunization campaigns in the 20th century slowed polio's spread and eventually chased it from most nations.
Gates said there already has been a global investment of $6 billion for the polio-fighting initiative but he cited some setbacks. More children were infected with polio in 2008 than in 2007,
Nigeria, which has struggled to contain polio since some northern states imposed a yearlong vaccine ban in mid-2003, accounts for more than 50 percent of new cases.
Also, in September, a suicide bomber in Afghanistan attacked a marked U.N. vehicle, killing two Afghan doctors working on polio vaccination for the WHO.
"We are very close to eradication," said Adolf Kloke-Lesch of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, urging other countries -- especially the rest of the Group of Eight industrialized nations -- to contribute.
"The political will and commitment of government and partners in the four countries still affected by polio will also be crucial to win the fight," Kloke-Lesch told reporters. [Ron: Given that Afghanistan is under seige and occupation by the US military and its 'Coalition of the Willing',is it likely that polio eradication will have a high priority there? Also, what about just spending this charitable funding on helping those Afghanis being maimed and traumatised by the US and its allies every day in their so-called 'War on Terror' in Afghanistan? Surely that would help far more people? Of course the US could just pack up and go home and that would eliminate further suffering caused by its invasion and occupation but that option is not on the Obama administration's agenda is it?]
British International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander called the new infusion of money "a massive boost in the battle to rid the world of the scourge of polio."
Here is what Mike Adams the Health Ranger has to say on this alleged generosity by Bill Gates et al.
Bill Gates Spends $630 Million to Vaccinate Children Against Polio
By Mike Adams, January 21, 2009 | Key concepts: Polio, Vaccines and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
It sounds like a noble cause: A $630 million donation from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to "eradicate polio" around the world. There's only one problem: The vaccination approach to world health utterly ignores the far greater problem of nutrition, vitamin D and immune support for children who already have the immune system technology to resist polio infections -- it just needs proper nutritional support.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into vaccinations over the last few years, apparently believing that the world's health problems can be solved by injecting everyone with weakened viral fragments and chemical preservatives. But in reality, this approach is a calamity of misdirected do-goodedness that only serves to promote the dangerous idea that more chemicals are the answer to the world's health problems.
Infectious disease will always persist in an environment populated by immune-suppressed human beings.
The root of the polio problem is not a lack of vaccines but rather a lack of fundamental nutritional literacy (and affordability) among the world's poor. A $630 million donation of children's nutritional supplements would be far more effective at combating polio than vaccines. And nutrition has the added benefit of preventing everything else, too: Colds and flu, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, mental disorders and a whole lot more.
It's great that Bill Gates wants to give money to help the children of the world, but it's disastrous that he has aligned himself with Big Pharma in pursuing this mission. The vaccination approach to world health will only result in the health care equivalent of the blue screen of death, requiring a rebooting of the entire global health care system in order to restore healthy function.
I cringe at the thought that every time I buy a Microsoft product, I'm indirectly generating money to be used for Big Pharma's global vaccination agenda. And with Steve Jobs suffering the effects of pancreatic cancer surgery, and Bill Gates giving millions away to push vaccines, I'm beginning to wonder: Is there any technology guru with a lot of money who understands nutrition and honest health care?
So far, the answer seems to be one big negatory on that.
