OK, I have read all the replies to the First money question, and will be adding some of them plus summaries to the first piece and redating it. While I do that here is your 2nd question:
Pretend that in this current life, you had been born into a modern society not using money on this planet. I say modern, because many of you have been in indigenous societies that don't use money in previous lives. (And that said, some of you have lived in societies that are modern and don't require money, either on earth in distant times, or on the architectural spheres or craft.)
Now, in this case also assume that the work required to maintain this money-less society is about 20 hours per week of your time. What career might you choose for your 20 hours? Don't make it "banking" because that isn't a choice. Consider in your replies what career opportunities migh be available in this more advanced society, versus this society now. Many will not be availabe, because they are not needed. Assume we are still working out some health issues and the like. This is not yet a perfect utopian society with all it's problems solved.
For the time being, leave out the idea we might be into space travel, let's keep the scenarios ON the planet. Understand you go to distribution centers to get your food, and household items.
Consider what these centers might supply. You do not need to buy a house, decent housing is supplied to everyone, according to need and climate. In our scenario we are NOT yet in monopolarity so we do still have lots of weather. Assume we have also switched to renewable energies and not longer drive polluting cars. We would have some individual transport in the way of hover craft, but most travel and commuting would be on streamlined mono rail and the like. So you aren't going to be manufacturing, say 'tires" as a work choice. We have become more automated in this scenario.
Now, think about the work contribution you would make, and then also, what would you do with all the extra time you would have, only working 20 hours per week. Assume you grew up of course thusly with plenty of food, decent roof on your head, and decent clothing, furniture and those needs. What would YOU do with the extra time. And take it one step further perhaps, consider your children are all at least school age, and parents are not thus needed at home during the work day. Ok, start dreaming!
And again, use the contact form if you do not have one of my addresses. DO NOT use the yahoo address, I never go there anymore! I am not answering the other questions personally by the way, but rather using portions of them and summaries in my upcoming report. There have been about 20 replies to date.
In summary then, think of the career method you would like to use to spend your 20 hours a week gifting your society, and then how would you spend your extra time in persuit of spiritual growth that you will have. Do assume we have developed better ways of spiritual growth. What recreation would you enjoy could be part of this spiritual growth exercise.
UPDATE: Beloveds, when I have chatted with many folks about the idea of giving up money, they immediately of course see the need to barter in some way. And instead of bankers, we will have traders! Most are fearful because they think the bartering is used for daily needs, and it has been suggested by MANY I have talked to, that we would have to say grow some food, and then exchange the food with a neighbor or whoever for clothing. Now how could this other person have clothing to barter, with having acquired a sewing machine, fabric, and the other supplies for this.
I said above we would have distibution centers, which we already have, we call them STORES in my country. Now in this advancing modern society proposed above, you still have food production, and all sorts of manufacturing. You cannot do hardly any individual bartering, except for favors. I watch your kids this Sunday, so you can go to a concert, and you watch my kids next week, so I can do something, sort of bartering. And it is wise even now to do that, because it's called cooperation!
I want each of you as the 3rd part of this exercise, to select any object your require and envision what it takes before it arrives in your hands. There is a buddha concept I have forgotten the name of, but it asks people to become aware, for example as given in the book i read, of what it takes to get a simple PENCIL into your hands. As it sits MOST people on a money system have no clue of this concept. They don't know, the government and the corporations somehow magically supply all these items, and they just go exchange money for them. You must ponder more, what it takes to make a society function.
Many of you would have picked careers if born into a money free society, much as you pick them now. And as we live longer, you may even change careers many times. Well a lot of you do now, but you don't call them careers, you call it doing a job to keep the wolf from the door.
You will be doing careers FOREVER in your ETERNAL life, that never does stop. I am working up an article about "heaven" that I will devote to these dark ones to give them some idea of why they do not want to stay incarnating on dark worlds like this one (or worse) forever, and why they may well want to move up. One of the worst and most damaging teachings in religion is what is heaven. It is not a fluffy place of leisure in the clouds somewhere. Those that wish growth even make their leisure time meaningful.
I am from "Heaven" and I am out here on this sad planet working my tutty off, and it's not just about the needs of my material body at this moment, its about being here to teach. And always in "heaven" be it on a evolutionary planet like this one, or the one imagined above that this planet will become, or living on an architectural world, or living in the astral realms, you are always engaged in both work, and growth, and teaching those below you, whiile learning from those above you. NEVER stops. NEVER. Even CM says he is still learning in his huge job as a Creator Son. He is at work everyday.
Now, following the buddha idea, which I forget the name, find several items you use in your life, including food, make a list of just maybe 1/2 dozen items, and figure out what it takes to get them to you! You can't just trade organic food for a new house!
Take for example the very computer you are using. List first what it is made of, best you can discern that, where these things it is made from come from, how are they mined for example. The plastic parts come obviously at this time from oil. Follow thru every step you can think of, starting with the earth that had to make the oil, to the drillers of wells, on up to having it front of you. Don't forget the programmers! List every sort of job you think might be necessary before your computer shows up.
Then take just ONE food you consume now. An apple perhaps. Write down the entire everything you can think off to get apples show up in the market. Do start with the fact that somebody has to plant and care for the tree. How about milk, your meat? The containers they come in? It's a big hairy deal and you can't just have a simple exchange system. This exercise will help you become much more aware of the many processes at play so that you may have life. Do not mail me the results of this exercise, but perhaps share it with family and friends, at work, etc. Inf act, you might be able to make a game out of it with your kids and others.
Years ago, there was a milk shortage, probably contrived to make money or manipulate the dairy farmers, and a local lady was very angry about the milk prices and supply. When questioned about it, ON THE NEWS, turns out she had no idea the milk came from a cow. She thought there should be no shortage, because she thought it was made in a factory. Now laugh if you wish on that, but many people on this planet truly have no idea about a lot of things of this sort. My own mother in law, when she was in Japan a long time ago, with her military husband, couldn't understand how all those little kids spoke Japanese so well!
So in your career choices, consider where you might choose, because some of you do already, in the business of bringing goods to people. All these type jobs are still going to exist. We lesson human input into them as we continue on developing the machine and robot age which lessens our personal labors, leaving time for actually living and enjoying life and being able to enhance our knowledge, which is what spiritual growth is about, obtaining knowledge and using that knowledge with wisdom.
Now, i have been making changes in my own life around money. I am no longer paying the huge price for digital cable, which is not work the money, the quality of TV stinks. I have kept a very basic service, and I don't get most cable channels, like CNN, but the cost with taxes is about $21 a month. I would get rid of the TV but I want to watch how things are presented as the thugs get arrested etc. I have given up driving. My insurance premiums are way to high and all I carry is liability. The old car either needs a lot of repairs, or I need another car. I don't like polluting the atmosphere with it. I am using public transportation which also pollutes, but you see, it's there whether I use it or not.
I now no longer have to support the insurance beast. I no longer have to get the car titled each year and pay for emissions. I also no longer have to pay for AAA towing insurance. No gasoline, no oil, no window washer fluid, no tune ups and repairs. No buying tires and having them rotated. Do you all realize how many tires alone are used in this world, and their polluting effects? Some people are exploring building houses with them. No battery replacement.
Now and then a friend calls and offers a ride to the store, which I do accept. That way they shop and I shop on the same gasoline etc. I kind of enjoy public transportation. I am interacting with other people, makes a nice break in my day actually. i have discovered whole families using the bus who have in fact given up a car for quite a variety of reasons. Since I am both old enough and disabled I get to ride at half price.
This world is in so much trouble because of unawareness. Light is knowledge. We are short of it. The purposes of these evolutionary worlds is to cause a being to think and solve problems, and this world is surely a place suited to that, if only people would engage in such in greater numbers!
