IVE SEEN TOO MUCH
By Brian

ive seen too much

felt too many chains

especially when it rains

break the reigns

ive seen too much

oppression

you'd think

it would've

taught us

a lesson

ive seen too many

ants without hills

too many empty

spaces

to fill

including the ones

between

the unseen

ive seen

too much hate

i cant relate

too many horses

in stalls

rabbits on pavement

birds grounded

astounded

by the

light of the sun

how it will gently

caress you in its fire

making your case

not so dire

ive seen too many tigers

without water

the pack's domain

has lost momentum

ive seen too much

pent up

emotion

ive seen too much

commotion

anti this

anti that

never give back

from what you know

nothing

about

like oil and water

had a daughter

called her

cannon fodder

too many dogs

of war

too many galaxies

within

remain

unexplored

too many roses blooming

without the proper

family

of thorns

to uphold

its beautiful vigilance

in the face of so much more

too many rugs covering floors

too much heat coming from your

seat

propel yourself forward

in the name of all that is holy

and righteous

love begs

no more

for your participation

you are part of the constipation

to be flushed

from its bowels

love's back door

flowers in fertile fields

feel the release

as promised

to fill

the vacant and sometimes

derelict

societies of non

complacency

it's bitter sweet

too much pollen polluting

the airways

of anemic pathways

where too much blood

goes unfiltered

through

to

me and you

what are we gonna do

too many single doves

no one is above

or below

the radar

on all planes

in all trains

droplets stain

tracks of tears

congealed

on my cheeks

bumpers for direction

find jumpers bouncing

on introspection

look out below

as above

does show

too much smoke

not enough mirrors

too many fears

in our ears

distorting sounds

and inflections

disruptions

ejections

pilots jettisoned

from cockpits

damsels in distress

too many sour lips

too much blood

and not enough

wine

too many swines

in the pines

too many words

and vowels

consonants

syntax

sentences incomplete

out of context

too much drama

my camel

likes your llama

pounds schillings and pence

stop painting your fence

it makes no sense

from whence

it came

so shall

it remain

unclaimed

until

we smile

turn the dial

to the frequency

of you
