If you know people in the region.. please send them this information because it doesan't seem available otherwise. Pretty sure they will be evacuating Oroville and MORE in the not to far away future and I hope it doesn't start in the middle of the night.
I have covered this on the forum in this thread . Esu and CM have told me there is a big issue on the right side of the spillway gate area on the top. I could not understand fully what I was being told until I found a 2nd picture today which caused me to see what was in the first one. I have also been told there is a LOT of other instability in that whole abutment to the dam where the spillways are. This is not a small repairable issue.
This below is my post on the forum incase you have troubles going there because of your devices.
Ok from images posted on the LOP thread and another I found.. I just understood what CM and Esu have been telling me about the erosion on the right side of the spillway at the top. I didn't have comparison to an image that went into the LOP thread yesterday. OMG..... LOP current posting on the LOP thread http://lunaticoutpost.com/thread-735396-post-13844329.html#pid13844329
Now compare these two images.
This is shortly after the "emergency spillway" started to spill. Look at the right side..with the yellow truck and pile of some sort of dirt. see all the NORMAL concrete wall in place and a set of steps?
This is an image posted yesterday to the thread. Enlarge it and compare the same area and throw up. This is bad. And those steps are gone along with the concrete.
IF YOU KNOW PEOPLE LIVING downstream of that please pease send them these before and after pics.
